Come to Me

Come To Me 2009

Matthew 11:28 says, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” When I was in high school, I had a bulletin board right above my desk and I would tack up all kinds of index cards with quotes I liked or encouraging Bible Verses. One day I looked up and saw this verse and it was like Jesus whispered the words to this song in my ear. If I’m not mistaken, this is the only song I have ever just sat down and written in one sitting.  It is also the only song to this point that I wrote on the piano and later wrote the guitar part. I believe Jesus wrote it and just shared it with me to share with others. It’s His love song to all of humanity.
